He noted that the expiration of the price cap scheme would lead to a gradual reduction in prices as new stocks purchased at lower prices entered the market. However, he acknowledged that diesel prices might remain slightly higher due to import reliance. Bolojan mentioned that if prices did not adjust, the government was prepared to propose a new price cap scheme in Parliament. As of July 31, diesel was priced at 10.42 lei per liter in Bucharest, the lowest on the market.
