Prețuri mai mici la pompă în Sibiu după reducerea accizei: motorina a scăzut sub 10 lei

The price of diesel has dropped below 10 lei per liter at Petrom due to a 20% excise tax reduction for 15 days. This decrease, effective from August 16, 2026, results in savings of 34 lei per full tank. While Petrom offers the lowest price at 9.99 lei, other stations like Rompetrol have slightly higher prices. Despite the reduction, Romania remains among the top countries in the EU for diesel prices, having dropped four positions in the ranking. Authorities will monitor price trends to determine if the tax cut will be extended.
