Prețul gazelor crește cu 6% în Europa și ajunge la nivelul maxim al ultimilor 4 ani. Îngrijorarea a ajuns până și la BCE, care ar putrea crește dobânda - Economica.net

Natural gas prices in Europe rose by 6% due to escalating tensions in the Middle East, reaching levels not seen since the 2022-2023 crisis. The Dutch Title Transfer Facility price hit $97.31 per MWh, surpassing January 2023 levels. Concerns over supply disruptions, particularly from the Middle East, have intensified competition for liquefied natural gas (LNG), driving prices higher. The European Central Bank (ECB) has revised inflation forecasts upward, citing energy price surges as a significant concern. Analysts warn of potential further interest rate hikes as inflation risks increase, particularly with low gas storage levels ahead of winter. The ECB's next monetary policy meeting is set for October 29, with a 60% chance of interest rate increases.
