Complexul Energetic Oltenia has made history by selling electricity for over 1,000 lei/MWh for the first time, indicating rising market prices. The transaction, involving 20 MW for the first quarter of next year, was completed with GES Furnizare. CE Oltenia has been capitalizing on market conditions, selling significant energy volumes for future delivery, including 263 GWh for the entire next year at prices between 752 and 762 lei/MWh. Previous sales included contracts for 2027 at over 900 lei/MWh. Despite operational challenges, the company continues to sell energy amid regulatory pressures regarding capacity closures.
