Prețul carburanților, redus printr-o „acciză dinamică”

The Senate's Economic Committee has approved a bill aimed at reducing fuel prices, introducing a dynamic excise tax that can decrease by 5 to 25%. This measure, agreed upon by Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare and former Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan, will be in effect for three months post-promulgation, with potential extensions. Nazare emphasized the flexibility of this approach and the importance of maintaining Romania's credit rating by avoiding VAT reductions. The estimated monthly impact of the measure is around 100 million, contingent on market conditions, while cautioning against potential fuel shortages due to price caps.
