Prețul carburanților, contestat de transportatori: Trebuie introdusă plafonarea adaosului comercial

The Federation of Romanian Transport Operators (FORT) urges Parliament to amend a specific article in Law 162/2026 to implement real controls on fuel price margins. FORT's president, Beniamin Lucescu, emphasized that the current law does not limit commercial markups, allowing fuel prices to rise unchecked. The federation also called for an investigation into price components and profit margins during a specified period. They argue that while oil prices have decreased, fuel prices in Romania remain historically high, negatively impacting the economy. The Ministry of Finance has temporarily reduced fuel excise taxes to alleviate pressure on consumers and the economy.
