The price of gasoline in Romania has exceeded 10 lei/l following a price increase by major fuel distributors. OMV Petrom, along with Rompetrol, MOL, and Socar, raised prices by 6 bani/l. Petrom was the last to sell gasoline below 10 lei/l, but now prices have reached 10.05 lei/l at Petrom and Socar stations, and 10.11 lei/l at OMV, Rompetrol, and MOL stations. A previous spike above 10 lei/l occurred briefly last week, but was quickly reversed by OMV Petrom.
