Bistrița will host a presidential visit for the first time in nearly seven years, with President Nicușor Dan attending the inauguration of a major healthcare project. The visit on September 19 marks the completion of the modernization and digitalization of the Bistrița Emergency County Hospital. This project, funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), represents a significant investment exceeding 600 million lei. The last presidential visit to the region was by Klaus Iohannis in 2019 during an electoral campaign.
