President Nicușor Dan has called a meeting of the Supreme Council of National Defense to discuss security implications from Black Sea incidents. The meeting will evaluate measures to enhance Romania's maritime security and critical infrastructure protection. Dan emphasized the importance of Black Sea security for Europe and international trade, highlighting Romania's request for stronger NATO support against drone threats. He noted recent successful interceptions of drones by Romanian forces and reaffirmed NATO's commitment to defend allied territories, including airspace and territorial waters. NATO plans to deploy additional resources to the Black Sea region for enhanced surveillance and reconnaissance.
