He emphasized that Latvian laws do not prohibit the stationing of nuclear arms. The UK previously proposed extending its nuclear umbrella to the Baltic and Nordic countries as a deterrent against Russia. Meanwhile, Lithuania's parliament supported a bill to lift its constitutional ban on nuclear weapons, prompting Russian warnings about potential nuclear targeting. Russia has also issued a warning to NATO regarding the use of nuclear weapons if Kaliningrad is isolated.
