Președinta Renew Europe: Senatul României are responsabilitatea de a respinge legea ANI cu amendamentul antidemocratic care îl vizează pe Dominic Fritz

Valérie Hayer urged the Romanian Senate to reject an anti-democratic amendment targeting Timișoara's mayor, Dominic Fritz, warning that PNRR funds should not be disbursed otherwise. She emphasized that the EU must not finance political vendettas. Hayer highlighted that USR proposed a European-compliant version of the ANI reform law. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan supports passing the integrity law despite the amendment, while AUR's Petrișor Peiu announced he would not vote for it. A decisive vote is scheduled in the Senate.
