Despite his nomination, the political crisis in Bucharest persists, as Mureșan currently lacks the necessary votes for cabinet approval. AUR has announced it will not support Mureșan's cabinet, while UDMR is open to forming a majority but excludes collaboration with AUR. USR is willing to negotiate compromises, including with PSD. The possibility of early elections is also considered, which could benefit radical right parties. PSD faces a delicate situation, having collaborated with AUR recently, but a joint government could harm its image. The likelihood of restoring the governing coalition is low, as PNL and USR currently reject collaboration with PSD, which contributed to the fall of the previous government.
