A traditional cheese from Bistrița-Năsăud, known as Teaca cheese, has gained European recognition for its unique taste and production method. Made from raw cow's milk and encased in natural pig bladders, it has become a local pride. The cheese is produced by local artisans who pass down the recipe through generations. With a production capacity that has grown significantly, the factory aims to maintain high standards following its recent certification. Teaca cheese is priced at 30 lei per kilogram and is now the 18th Romanian product recognized at the European level.
