As autumn arrives, the traditional dish zacusca is being prepared in Romania, particularly in Mureș County. Local producers showcased their skills by cooking for nine hours, demonstrating traditional methods with roasted eggplants and peppers. Emil Tămășan, a local producer, offers various zacusca types, including classic and spicy versions, as well as unique combinations. Prices for a jar of zacusca range from 10-15 lei in supermarkets to 25-30 lei from local producers. The event "Zacuscă pe dealuri" celebrated its fifth edition, featuring other traditional dishes as well.
