The couple expressed gratitude to the women who assisted them in starting their family, including an egg donor and a surrogate mother, both of whom are Dutch and friends of the couple. The entire process adhered to Dutch law, utilizing IVF, as commercial surrogacy is prohibited in the Netherlands. Jetten plans to take a few days off for the birth but will return to his duties shortly after. He became the youngest prime minister in Dutch history in early 2026.
