Designated Prime Minister Siegfried Mureșan confirmed he will not resign and will seek parliamentary approval for his government. He emphasized the need for PSD to choose between supporting a pro-European government or aligning with AUR. Mureșan expressed readiness to negotiate with PSD and highlighted that discussions will be official and transparent. He ruled out any collaboration with extremist parties and stated he would not compromise the government program for their support. If he fails to secure enough votes, he remains committed to his mandate and will proceed with forming the government. Mureșan intends to retain his position as vice-president of the European People's Party.
