Designated Prime Minister Siegfried Mureșan announced a complete ban on the accumulation of pensions and salaries in the public sector. He aims to continue the reform of military and police pensions, potentially expanding it beyond current regulations. Currently, only judges have partial exemptions, but Mureșan's plan would eliminate all exceptions. If approved, individuals reaching retirement age in public positions will not be able to combine their pension with their salary, although they can do so in private employment. Mureșan is expected to pursue further reforms in service pensions, including increasing retirement age for police and military personnel.
