Premieră pentru Interpol. Operațiuni desfășurate în întregime de femei au dus la arestarea în Algeria a doi evadați dintr-o închisoare din Franța
An international operation targeting individuals linked to terrorism and criminal networks in the Middle East and North Africa led to the arrest of two fugitives sought by French authorities. The operation, named "Phoenix," lasted three weeks and involved five countries, resulting in 48 arrests and significant seizures, including cash, luxury vehicles, and drugs. Interpol highlighted the operation's success, particularly noting that it was conducted entirely by women, marking a first for the agency in the region. The initiative is part of Interpol's "Momentum-MENA" project, aimed at enhancing police capabilities in the area.
