Premieră pe Focșani – Brăila: benzi de urgență de 2,5 metri

The Focșani – Brăila Expressway, a 4.3 billion lei project, will be Romania's first expressway with emergency lanes. The design phase is ongoing, following new safety standards introduced by the Ministry of Transport. The updated specifications include a wider road platform and dedicated emergency stopping lanes, addressing safety issues observed on existing expressways. The project aims to enhance road safety and prevent accidents by allowing vehicles to stop safely off the main lanes. Construction is expected to start this year, with expropriations already underway for affected properties along the route.
