Premieră mondială: Franța folosește un avion militar la stingerea incendiilor de vegetație

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced the world’s first use of an Airbus A400M military transport aircraft to drop fire retardant on wildfires. Developed in just 15 days, this system was a collaboration between Civil Protection, the French military, and Airbus. The A400M can release up to 20 tons of fire retardant in one mission, equivalent to the capacity of multiple firefighting aircraft. It recently assisted in combating a wildfire in the Gironde region, which has burned over 32,700 hectares and led to the evacuation of nearly 200,000 people.
