An 18-year-old patient in critical condition was successfully transferred from Craiova to Bucharest using a Black Hawk helicopter, marking a significant advancement in Romania's aeromedical capabilities. The operation, coordinated by the Department for Emergency Situations, involved a multidisciplinary ECMO team that stabilized the patient before transport. This mission is the first of its kind for the Floreasca Emergency Hospital, enhancing access to complex treatments for critically ill patients in the national emergency system.
