Premieră medicală în România. O pacientă conectată la ECMO, transportată cu un elicopter Black Hawk

An 18-year-old patient on ECMO was successfully transported by a Black Hawk helicopter from Craiova to Bucharest, marking a medical first in Romania. The operation, conducted on July 25-26, involved a multidisciplinary team from Floreasca Hospital, which stabilized the patient before the flight. This transfer highlights advancements in Romania's aeromedical capabilities and emergency medicine. The ECMO therapy is complex and requires specialized equipment and trained personnel for safe transport. This mission enhances critical patient access to advanced treatments within the national emergency system.
