The pilot project for the modernization of the 220/110/20 kV Alba Iulia station is moving from vision to implementation as part of Transelectrica's DigiTEL program. The project aims to create a digital station model that integrates energy infrastructure with digital systems, enhancing operational efficiency and cybersecurity. The contract, valued at approximately 90.44 million euros, includes significant funding from the Modernization Fund and is set to be completed by May 2030. Key components include a Digital Laboratory in collaboration with the University of Bucharest, which will facilitate research and testing of digital solutions. The project also emphasizes the importance of data analysis for better asset management and decision-making.
