Premieră în sistemul energetic național: Transelectrica a activat primul grup de consumatori care ajută la echilibrarea rețelei

A new mechanism for energy balancing in Romania was activated, allowing consumers to reduce their energy use voluntarily. This initiative, approved by ANRE, enables consumers to participate in the balancing market without production units. The first activation occurred on September 1, where a group of consumers reduced their consumption by 3 MW. This marks a significant step in utilizing demand response as a resource for energy balancing, providing a new revenue stream for consumers. The initiative aligns with Romania's energy reform commitments under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
