Premieră în chirurgie. Roboți umanoizi au operat animale vii, Au fost ghidați în intervenție de chirurgi umani • Newsweek România

For the first time, humanoid robots successfully performed laparoscopic gallbladder removal on live pigs, guided by human surgeons. This study, reported in Nature, shows the potential of humanoid robots in complex surgeries, even remotely. Engineers and surgeons from UCSD collaborated to test the robots' fine motor skills before proceeding with the surgery. The operations were completed with minimal bleeding, highlighting the robots' efficiency and space-saving design compared to traditional robotic systems. This advancement could have implications for surgical practices, including potential use in space.
