Premieră alarmantă la testele PISA: România trece de pragul de 50% la „analfabetism funcțional” în Matematică

Specifically, 52% of students did not reach the minimum level in Mathematics, 48% in Reading, and 46% in Science, all below the OECD averages. The report highlights a significant increase in students underperforming compared to previous assessments, indicating a growing educational crisis. Additionally, socio-economic factors heavily influence student performance, with a notable gap between advantaged and disadvantaged students. The introduction of digital learning assessments shows that 57% of Romanian students fall below the reference level in computational problem-solving. Furthermore, the use of AI tools among students is prevalent, yet it correlates with poorer performance in Science. Attendance issues also persist, with higher absenteeism rates reported than the OECD average.
