The first day of the school year in Romania proceeded without major incidents, according to Interior Minister Cătălin Predoiu. Over 24,000 law enforcement personnel were deployed to ensure safety around schools. Special attention was given to road safety measures near educational institutions, with numerous notifications sent for necessary improvements. Checks were conducted on school transport, and drivers received training on safety regulations. Additionally, safety inspections were carried out in schools to address potential fire hazards. Predoiu emphasized the importance of ongoing safety efforts throughout the school year.
