Rețele Electrice România has completed the modernization of the Filaret substation in Bucharest, enhancing energy supply safety and quality for over 25,600 customers. The investment of nearly 79 million lei was funded entirely from the company's own resources. This project, which began in 2019, marks the final upgrade of the company's substations in the capital, ensuring they are equipped with modern technologies. The upgraded Filaret substation now has an increased capacity of 200 MVA and features a new solar energy system for improved efficiency. This modernization aligns with the ongoing electrification trends in transportation and heating, preparing the network for future energy demands.
