A man impersonated an airline pilot for five years, exploiting a system for free flights. Dallas Pokornik, previously a flight attendant, pleaded guilty to fraud. He used a fake ID to access benefits meant for airline employees, risking up to 20 years in prison. His scheme was discovered after a suspicious employee reported him. Pokornik managed to fly for free on numerous occasions before being arrested in Panama and extradited to the U.S. He faces sentencing in December 2026, with restitution to the affected airlines pending.
