The Romanian, acting as an intermediary, entrusted the shipment to another driver who staged the theft and fled. The cartel leader blamed the Romanian for the loss, leading to his abduction. During captivity, he was beaten and threatened to reveal the whereabouts of the missing driver and drugs. A video of the victim was circulated, prompting a tip to Romanian police, who coordinated with Spanish authorities. The man was found in a car near Barcelona, where he was about to be killed. The kidnapper was arrested, and investigations continue to locate the drugs and other cartel members.
