Poșta Română, „trambulina” Chinei, bate palma cu Temu și ascunde detaliile. Ministerul care o controlează tace • Newsweek România
Poșta Română has signed a memorandum with the Chinese company Temu, enhancing its role as a logistics partner for Chinese e-commerce. This partnership follows two years of efforts by director Valentin Ștefan to strengthen ties with China, including controversial visits and opposition to taxation on low-cost packages. Despite inquiries, Poșta has not disclosed details about the negotiations, and the Ministry overseeing it has remained silent. The agreement aims to support Romanian merchants using Temu, providing logistics services while also facilitating Chinese companies' access to the Romanian market. Concerns about the impact of Chinese e-commerce on local businesses and tax collection have been raised, with the new tax on low-value imports generating significant revenue for the state.
