The incident was reported by a local resident who witnessed the object falling and a subsequent fire that was extinguished without causing harm. Authorities, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Romanian Intelligence Service, have secured the area for further examination. A specialized team from the Ministry of Defense will also investigate the site. Additionally, a drone was detected near the border with Ukraine, but no unauthorized airspace breaches were reported by radar systems.
