Portul Constanța: operatorii cer deblocarea traficului pe Dunăre
Port operators in Constanța are urging authorities to urgently intervene to unblock river traffic on the Danube, following an incident on October 6. The blockage is impacting cargo transport to the Port of Constanța and increasing costs for logistics operators, according to the Constanța Port Business Association (CPBA). A vessel with excessive draft has obstructed the navigable channel, and no operational measures have been taken to restore navigability. The CPBA emphasizes the need for immediate action from competent authorities to prevent further economic losses and delays in the supply chain. They also warn that the blockage could affect the transport of Ukrainian grain to international markets, stressing the importance of navigability for the efficiency of the Port of Constanța and Romania's competitiveness as a regional transport hub.
