Over 80 firefighters from Romania and Hungary will compete in an international event in Satu Mare, testing their physical endurance and speed. The challenge involves climbing 210 steps of the Administrative Palace while wearing approximately 35 kg of firefighting gear and breathing apparatus. The 12th edition of the International "STAIRS" Competition, organized by the Satu Mare Emergency Situations Inspectorate, will take place from September 23-25. The event will include public activities, allowing locals to observe firefighters' training and interventions, along with games and demonstrations for families. A rescue exercise will also be conducted, showcasing the extraction of a trapped person from a vehicle. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 6 PM.
