Pompierii români au salvat o mănăstire și mai multe locuințe din calea incendiilor de vegetație din Grecia • Newsweek România

Romanian firefighters successfully intervened in Greece to save a monastery and several homes from wildfires in the Attica region. They operated under the European Civil Protection Mechanism, tackling a large vegetation fire in Loumpa. Their efforts continued overnight to extinguish active hotspots and prevent the fire from spreading. The main goal was to stop the flames from reaching threatened properties. Despite challenging conditions, including limited access and high-voltage power lines, the Romanian teams worked alongside Greek authorities. As of Tuesday morning, they remained on standby for monitoring and rapid response to any flare-ups.
