Romanian firefighters have arrived in Serbia to assist in combating a massive wildfire that has been ongoing for weeks, particularly in the Deliblato Sands nature reserve. The EU Civil Protection Mechanism has also deployed helicopters and firefighters from various countries to support Serbia's firefighting efforts. The situation remains critical as the fire has affected over 12,000 hectares. Romania has sent technical resources and personnel from multiple counties to aid in the emergency response.
