Poluare pe Valea Oltului: Constructorul, amendat

The Olt River has been polluted near Câineni, Vâlcea, due to construction activities for the Sibiu-Pitești highway. The Turkish company MAPA Insaat was fined 40,000 lei for this incident. Inspections revealed that the construction site was not properly managing wastewater, leading to contamination of the river. Tests showed exceedances in several water quality indicators. The company was found to be in violation of water laws and was ordered to take corrective actions immediately.
