Prime Minister Donald Tusk urged the president to support this measure, which could generate 4 billion zlotys annually. Tusk emphasized that citizens should not bear the burden of the fuel crisis, which has seen significant price increases due to global turmoil. The state-controlled oil group Orlen has reported a substantial rise in revenues and profits amid these challenges, while consumers face higher pump prices and inflationary pressures.
