Polonia prelungeşte controalele temporare la frontierele cu Germania şi Lituania
Poland has extended temporary border controls with Germany until March 30, 2024, due to ongoing migration issues. The Interior Ministry cited active migration routes through Belarus and the Baltic states as the reason for the extension. Controls with Lithuania are also prolonged. Poland and the EU accuse Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko of facilitating migrant pressure on the West. Germany has implemented random border checks since October 2023 to combat irregular migration, with stricter measures ordered by the German Interior Minister shortly after the new government took office.
