Polonia, după modelul Statelor Unite, este pregătită să trimită trupe pentru a consolida apărarea aliaților. Ce condiții impune Varșovia
Poland's Defense Minister, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, announced readiness to send more troops to support NATO allies, contingent on defense contracts with Poland. The country allocates nearly 5% of its GDP to defense and aims to enhance its defense industry. This transactional approach mirrors U.S. strategies under President Trump. Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that Poland's troop deployments are for peacetime and not related to collective defense obligations. Polish soldiers are currently stationed in the Baltic states, Romania, and Turkey. Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Poland has significantly invested in military capabilities and seeks to develop its defense industry rather than relying on foreign equipment. Kosiniak-Kamysz also mentioned the need for substantial borrowing to finance military development, preferring to repay loans over sending Polish youth to the front.
