Polish Air Force intercepted a Russian reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea, following a recent incident involving a Russian cruise missile crash in Poland. Two F-16 fighter jets were deployed after detecting the Il-20 aircraft, which was flying without a flight plan and with its transponder off. The Polish Defense Minister noted that the aircraft did not enter Polish airspace. This interception comes amid increased Russian reconnaissance flights near Poland's coast. Just a day prior, officials confirmed that a Russian CH-101 cruise missile had crashed in Poland, causing no injuries.
