A Polish tourist died after falling 160 meters into a gorge in the Făgăraș Mountains. The 54-year-old man slipped from a narrow path near the Mircii Peak. Due to strong winds and fog, rescuers could not use a helicopter, leading to a ground team of 22 rescuers being dispatched. The body could not be retrieved overnight because of bad weather, so the recovery mission resumed today.
