Poliţist din Târgu-Mureş, trimis în judecată după ce ar fi provocat accidente rutiere pentru obţinerea de despăgubiri

A police officer from Mureș County is facing trial for allegedly causing traffic accidents to fraudulently obtain insurance compensation. Prosecutors claim Marius Manea and accomplices staged accidents between July 2022 and March 2024, resulting in over 194,000 lei in unjustified claims. Manea is accused of using confidential information for personal gain and falsifying documents related to these incidents. Four insurance companies have joined the case as civil parties, seeking damages. The case has been forwarded to the Mureș Tribunal for further proceedings.
