Poliția Română avertizează asupra fraudelor prin telefon. Cum funcționează vishing-ul și ce date nu trebuie să oferi niciodată
The Romanian Police warns about the rise of phone fraud, known as vishing, where criminals impersonate bank employees to steal sensitive information. They use tactics like Caller ID Spoofing to appear legitimate and create urgency to manipulate victims into providing personal data. In the first half of 2026, 42% of reported cyber incidents were phone frauds. The police advise never to share passwords or codes over the phone and to be cautious of unsolicited requests for remote access to devices.
