Canadian poet and essayist Anne Carson has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for her innovative work that blends poetry, fiction, and academic research. The Nobel Committee praised her for creating new forms in contemporary literature through playful dialogue with classical traditions. Carson, 76, has also translated ancient Greek literature and taught classical studies for over 30 years. Her notable works include 'Autobiography of Red' and 'Nox', the latter written in memory of her brother. The Nobel Prize is the most prestigious literary award, accompanied by a monetary prize of 12 million Swedish kronor.
