The Maria Theresa Bridge, a historical monument from 1908, will undergo rehabilitation after a contract worth 5.18 million lei was signed by the Sibiu City Hall. The project, awarded to SC Strabag SRL, aims to preserve the bridge's architectural elements while enhancing urban development. Construction is set to begin within 30 days and will take six months to complete. The project includes relocating utility lines, repairing the structure, restoring historical features, and modernizing public lighting. Mayor Astrid Fodor emphasized the bridge's importance for both heritage conservation and urban regeneration.
