Podul hobanat din Arad intră în reparații

The cable-stayed bridge in Arad, inaugurated in December 2025, is undergoing repairs due to the detachment of the tartan layer on sidewalks and bike paths. The city will cover the repair costs using the contractor's warranty. Temporary closures are in place for one side of the bridge, while the other remains accessible for pedestrians and cyclists. Issues with the bridge were noted shortly after its opening, including structural deformations that led to delays and additional work before its inauguration. The local authority is currently removing the damaged tartan and is awaiting a technical solution for permanent repairs. The bridge was opened to traffic after several postponements, despite previous concerns about its structural integrity.
