Pod nou peste Tisa și punct de frontieră România-Ucraina la Sighet

The new bridge over the Tisza River and the Sighetu Marmației II border crossing will open on October 8, 2026, at 12:30 PM. This infrastructure connects Romania and Ukraine, featuring a bridge and a border checkpoint with necessary facilities. The opening will occur in phases, starting with vehicles up to 3.5 tons, followed by heavier vehicles and eventually pedestrian traffic by December 2027. This new border point aims to enhance the existing infrastructure between the two countries.
