Romanian startup VoicePatrol has secured $3.4 million in funding to combat toxic behavior in online gaming environments. The investment round, led by GapMinder, includes contributions from European funds through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Other participating investors are Impact Ventures, Ollin Ventures, and The Build Fund. The funds will be used to enhance international expansion and develop AI technology that detects severe toxicity in voice chats across various platforms. VoicePatrol claims to reduce severe toxicity by 55%-75% within three weeks while lowering moderation costs by 30%-70%.
