Ilie Bolojan emphasized that this vote was a necessity due to the prolonged political crisis in Romania. He stated that a functional government is essential to prevent institutional collapse and maintain public services. Bolojan acknowledged that the decision was not politically advantageous for PNL but stressed the importance of responsibility over political calculations. He announced that PNL officials would resign early next week as part of their shift to opposition.
